coke attempt he was in the custody of the u.s. marshal's office. the court will have to determine if he's confident to stand trial, after the own attorneys requested the rules. he's accused of dropping four molotov cocktails in the skyway on thursday. the mall was evacuated and no one was hurt. and in california, police are searching for a man who threw a molotov cocktail at another man sitting outside of a market. the police released surveillance video from outside of the strip mole on to pacific coast highway. can you see the flames erupt and is they say a man in his 20s threw it at the victim and causing him to catch fire. he was sent to the hospital with burns on his lower body, in serious and stable condition tonight. the police say there is no indication they knew each other and seemed to be a random act of violence. a medical examiner in wisconsin said the suspected gunman's wife is month the victims in the spa shooting. he slashed his estranged wife's

impression and amongst the small percentage, 5%, they will try to alter their point of view. >> let's talk about the polling numbers, there is every indication it's a dead heat. among women voters, president obama doesn't have the same support as in 2008, does he? >> he doesn't but has an 8% margin. if women were not allowed to vote, that would be horrible for barack obama, he wouldn't be in this race. having the gender gap and having women be supportive of him is very helpful overall. >> why do you explain the difference in numbers? it's about 10% from right now to 2008? >> it was about 18% difference. i think any incumbent has a tapering off of maybe the enthusiasm factor and that probably accounts for. >> depending on who you spoke, mark, the debates are important and some say not so much.

romney's performances in the last two debates have helped him out here. >> absolutely. i mean he was really out of the race. they were talking about possible landslide. if you look at the battleground states, the 12 states now it's been reduced to 9, he would -- some states double digits and now made it an even competitive race and there is a gallop poll saying he could win the popular vote and we don't know what happens with the electoral college, who wins the presidency. with debates being seen in front of 16 million people has made a difference. president obama tried to define him and now he's on the same stage, and the debates have made him competitive to. >> and -- competitive. >> sorry to erupt you, mitt romney's going to more than likely pound the obama administration over the attack. i imagine he has to be careful not to overreach.

after all, this was a tragedy, we lost our first american ambassador since 1979. >> at the last debate, he didn't score points and he wants to say the government is incompetent and i think he will also bring up the use of the word optimal where the mother of a deceased son said my son was very optimal and he's dead. that was a striking remark, and when the word optimal was mentioned, the president made, i think, a very unfortunate mistake and a poor choice of words by not renouncing the use of the word. >> the word that wind around the world. a -- the word that went around the world. the last time we will see them to on stage before the votes.

in tonight's health alert, a new studdie from the american academy of pediatrics about the merits of feeding children organic food. some serve to avoid pesticides in certain bacteria. the researchers analyzed organic produce, dairy products and meat and found there is no added nutritional value to eating organic opposed to eating conventional foods and there is no research showing harm to pesticides used to grow the food. a disturbing new studdie about high school football players and concussions. the researchers suvade more than 100 student athletes. ten% were diagnosed with a concussion. a third said they had concussion-like symptoms like headaches, dizziness, loss of balance and blurred vision. of those who suffered symptoms, more than half said they didn't tell anyone about it for fear of being taken off of the field. >> reporter: traveler -- . travelers could have a pulmonary embolism. researchers studied more than
